Having a baby can be a one of the most cherished experiences of a woman’s life. It is a time of great transition, but it can also be a time when you need support from your community.

Any first-time mum who is carrying an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander baby can receive support from the The Australian Nurse-Family Partnership Program (ANFPP). ANFPP is a home visiting program delivered by nurses and Aboriginal workers in your community.

They work with you to become the best mum you can be and are committed to walking the journey with you as you become a new Mum.

Once you join this voluntary program, the home visiting team will visit you in your home throughout pregnancy and continue until your bubba is 2 years old. They’ll support you to be healthy while you’re pregnant and after, build a safe home for bubba, build healthy relationships and community connections and plan for a strong future for you and your family.
