The Australian Nurse-Family Partnership Program is part of an international family of eight Nurse Home Visiting programs built on the foundations of the University of Colorado’s evidence-based Nurse-Family Partnership Program (NFP).
Each country’s implementation is adapted to suit the mothers it supports and the environment in which it operates, but all adaptions are approved by the University of Colorado research team. This ensures the program remains true to its foundations and their proven effectiveness.
The Australian Nurse-Family Partnership program is supported by an International Adviser from the University of Colorado team, who provides expertise, advise and shares the learnings from other countries. The Clinical Leads from each country meet regularly to share ideas and experience, and training and other resources are shared between programs internationally. In this way, the ANFPP and its sister programs continue to evolve and improve to better support the mothers they serve.
