Program Education

The ANFPP is a curriculum that is delivered in the client’s home that builds the client’s capacity to identify goals and work through strategies to achieve those goals.  It assists clients to manage their lives, including their role as a new mother.

Over the first 12 months of employment Nurse Supervisors, Nurse Home Visitors and Family Partnership Workers undertake a comprehensive training program. This training is delivered in a number of modalities including online training and face to face training. Web-based course management systems and social networking solutions are used to support distance learning.

The Workforce Development Team at the ANFPP Support Service provides participants with online tutorial support and face-to-face assistance in periodic residential group training courses. The residential training also provides an opportunity for team members to meet with staff from other teams and to build networks across the program.
