Nurse Supervisors role
The Nurse Supervisors can work with a local Project Officer in the initial establishment of the program. The role of the Nurse Supervisor is to manage the effective operation of the ANFPP, including local contracts and budgets, and supervising the local team which consists of Nurse Home Visitors, Family Partnership Workers and administrative staff.
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that program delivery is both appropriate for the local context and maintains model fidelity; building strong relationships within the host organisation and the Home Visiting Team, and with external stakeholders; and developing referral pathways with local agencies.
The Nurse Supervisor manages recruitment and engagement of eligible clients to the program and oversees and provides reflective supervision for other members of the team.
Nurse Supervisor's receive mentoring and supervision from the National Program Centre and peer support from other Nurse Supervisors.
